it took long time for winter to arrive this year.
Dezember was warm, no freezing temperature at all.
there was some snow, but it melt away very fast.
Now it is cold, freezing and lots of snow!!
We went Snowboarding this weekend.

This month i had a very special guest around me for two weeks.
Let me introduce Finja: Germanys traveling Blythe to you.

it was a good choice to visit Mr.P with her, so we came around quite alot...
We enjoyed late summer sun in the garden...

We visited the "Ivenacker Oaks", which are some of the oldest trees in europe. the big oak you see in the picture is about 1000 years old and still growing.....

we took a few walks in the "Weser Bergland" which is the landscape around Hannover city.

we visited Mr.P.s workplace....

came back to Munich, Bavaria and enjoyed "Oktoberfest".....Isn´t she cute with her bavarian "Dirndl"?

She also came to see "Salzburg", beautiful city in Austria and hometown of "Mozart"

yes,.... we will miss her.... but there are still many places to see for her...

yesterday i finally managed to finish two dresses which i started last month.

first one is for Petite Blythe. I already made one for Petites with this fabric which was not more than a scrap.
However there is place for a last tiny dress from it. So maybe a third one will follow someday.

This Petite Blythe has her first showing off in picture today. She is a Petite Aztec Arrival which i bought to customize, but ... oh well.... i sooo suck in it. Not that i can´t properly do it, but once i hold a stock girl in my hands, i adore them so much, that i just can´t come over me to touch the sweet faces anymore. So she will stay stock as all the other Petite Girls in my family.

Second dress i finished is bee dress for Wanda Wonder Frogs. To the simple crochet dress i added some colourful beads and this cute bee appliquee which is actually a cute little sticker from Accessorize.
The dress is also quite cute looking on Middie Blythe, but i have no picture of it yet.

i found a cute little bee in our garden! Look !

The crochet salopette is a little bit tricky when it comes to the part of the legs. i will make another one and add a few more rows on the body part. At the moment, the yarn is tested on staining on Pluies body, as those little froggies are very sensitive to dark colours. if all goes well, it will be added to the shop soon :)

one of my favorite places to be is the river Isar, floating through Munich. I love rivers, i love to see them flow. rivers give me the feeling of beeing alive and of moving on in whatever i am doing.
When i lived in Japan, i lived only 5 minutes away from the big Tamagawa-River. One thing i did EVERY day was taking a walk at the river.

Following the Isar to her origin, you come bye a beautiful little town: Bad Tölz. Only a short drive with the car away from Munich, it´s defenitely a wonderful trip for a day.

really small you can take everywhere! It is now together with my mobile phone charms.

This is one of the rare pics of my Vinter Arden blythe doll.
Her previous name was Milka, because she has such a pale skin, but recently, as i combed her hair again and again until it was all pretty and shiny like silk, she told me her real name: Hortense.
Her haircolour so much reminds me of my late hydrangeas in the garden, which are among my favorite flowers.
unfortunately for some reason i find it very hard to take pictures of her. She went with us on our last trip, but the sun was so bright, it was nearly impossible to get a pretty picture of her already so pale skin. I feel so sad because she really is a beautiful girl and i adore her face colours.
So, this is one of the rare pictures which came out ok but still is kind of blurry.

Nevertheless, it was a beautiful and great day at the lake.
Pink is dressing Hortense really well, don´t you think?

i used the last free week in april to crochet some dresses and salopettes for wanda wonderfrogs

the dress fits as well Wanda and Middie Blythe and is a simple fit to slip in dress.

The salopettes / trousers were really fun to made.

The frogs eyes are little felt circles with black beads and the mouth is glued on felt applique

marine style is always in-style in spring and summer - also little frogs want to wear in-style swimming suits!
i love the early 20´s swimmsuit style - looks so cute on frogs :)

as promised, i have made a few more dresses for the frogs the last week. but first, i had a long promised comission to complete:
this is the easter present for Mr. P

this sheep has been wet and needle felted. the body encloses a stone which has been wet felted, the head and everything else is needle felted and secured with a few stiches to the body. because of the weight of the stone, she is really stable to stand and can also be used as a paper weight or even as a door stopper. you can´t tell it by the picture, but she is actually quite big and heave.
the wool comes from Alpinen Steinschafen, which is an endangered and old breed of farm animals in the Alps, especially in Bavaria and Austria. i purchased them from our local farmers market.

isn´t she cute? haha! i have the feeling a whole herd of smaller sheeps will follow soon!

Kuma lives already for quite a while in our little family.
She is a Toysfield Kuma. I was really surprised, how flexible these dolls are. It´s so much fun looking at her sweet face and pose her! There are endless possibilities it seems! And because of her big feet, she is able to even stand on her own on only one leg.
She reminds me of little *Pluie > always happy face, always smiling :)
Resumee: These dolls are really adorable. ^_^; I am smitten.

a few weeks ago, we took her on a trip to the Staffelsee where Mr. P and I took a nice walk around the lake (well, nearly).

after a long break it seems for me, i finally crotcheted two new dresses for the shop.
They are fully crotched, fit to slip in with no closure in the back.

made for Wonderfrog, i figured out they fit Middie Blythe quite well too!
The blue ribbon is recyled rement ribbon attached with fabric glue. i thought something was missing on the dress until i found them. i only had two of them, so this will be only two dresses with them.
Hope you like them, they will be listed in the shop this evening.

Last week, a new blythe arrived. She is a cooperation between Junie Moon & Emily Temple Cute.

This is her still in box. i love the packing.

Her outfit is really cute. i like the blue navy stripes with cute strawberry skirt. What you can´t see in the pictures, she has a really bright light blue eyeshadow. Beautiful!
She also has special eyechips and long eyelashes like Dear Lele Girl.

I decided for me, this will be my last Neo Blythe from Takara. I have to stop lurcking the news section. I don´t want any more Blythe dolls. i feel i have enough. I have a big dolls family now and i am happy with them, but i feel like i am bonding less with every new girl coming into. i want to spent more time with them. It is not possible if they are too many. So, this girl will be my last one.
I still want a Kenner in my family and a Kozy, but this are only plans for the future. I will go slowly with buying Blythe dolls now.
I don´t want to only look at them and see them standing in the bookshelfs, i want them to be characters who come out and play with me. By not buying any more new Blythe dolls , I can treasure my dolls family more from now on :)

Her name is Haruko. Because she is the girl who came in spring :)

i started early this year with the vegetable growing. So now, my bathroom looks like a jungle, no place to walk anymore.

you see tomatoes, zucchinis, and not in the picture even more tomatoes and eggplants
well, you see that´s basically what i grow every year.
But this year i am specially proud of the lovely little plants you see in the picture below. Guess what it is?

It´s little Lavender sprouts! Years ago, i collected many many seeds from different Lavender plants from neighbours, our own garden, people i don´t even know. To be honest, i never believed there would grow something out of it, so i just forgot about it. This year i thought i just should give it a try. And isn´t it amazing how many and fast they were growing? I am really surprised and can´t wait to pique every single of them in their own little pot and see them growing to a plant.
This is going to be an exciting experiment :)

today was a lucky little day. i recieved a wonderful package full of loveliness.
last month, Ooty held a giveaway on her blog where you could win some of her lovely ceramic creations. I still can´t believe i draw the lucky number.
the little cloud and two little ghosties are the official part of the Giveaway and she even added an extra Extra inside! How fabulous! And everything was so well packed. Now, i am a little sad i didn´t take any pictures before unpacking everything, but well.... couldn´t wait....hehe
I will put the little house amongst my flower board in the bathroom, i think it would look so darling there.

*Japan Earthquake and Tzunami

although life here goes on nearly as always, something has changed.
I feel deep sympathy for all those who suffered under the big Tzunami wave in Miyagi prefecture. So many people lost their life and those who survived have no home to return.
After the terrible earthquake around Tokyo area i have been very worried about my friends and family there. I was glad to hear, everybody was safe.
Now, after the earthquake, news about the nuclear power stations seem to be so contradictory, bad news seem to appear every counting hour and the situation itself out of control.

I hope everybody takes the right actions now. And also my small life here goes on, my thoughts and feelings are with my friends, family and people of Japan.

Hi my friends. I am so excited to finally introduce Yukari to you! She is my first Odeco girl and i am really surprised how photogenic these dolls are. At first i thought i wouldn´t be able to bond with her, but after dressing her up, this girl makes my dolls wishlist growing again.

i made her this little strawberry chocolate cute outfit yesterday and she loves it. What do you think about the little hat? It is supposed to be some kind of strawberry chocolate candy but it might be took for sth else....haha

She is a Love Mission EBL Blythe.

i got her for really cheap at Ebay from a national
private auction.
i am still not yet sure if she´s for real....
but can´t think she is a fake either, i can´t find any characteristics of what is in the disscussions lately.
EBL Face type is just so different from all of my other girls! It feels like a totally different doll and makes me want a Kozy even more now!
Her nose shape is different, her eyelashes are very thin, her eyechips are a slightly different colour to all following Neos and the black inside is much bigger.
The eyelids are matt, not shiny.
Love Mission Make-up is very subtle. Her blush is nearly visible.

From the auction, she came with her box, card, stand, full outfit etc., plus the licca body she is wearing now.

I´m in love.

But: My doll family is growing insanely recently! Especially since i know that there will be some more incoming in the future. Where to stop? My biggest problem: i can´t let any of them go.

hello hello!!

today, please let me introduce my new girls to you!! :)
it is my long awaited Macaron Q-Tea Party Middie Blythe!

Her name is *Miu Miu after Miu Miu by Prada, because i love Miu Miu bags and designs so much!
She finally arrived here after over three month.
When she was sent out in the end of october she arrived Frankfurt/Germany in 2 days, but from there, I had lots of troubles finding her again, as she seemed to got lost by german post/dhl in the middle of the way, in the middle of germany. it was a very dissappointing experience. i made many phonecalls, of course no fee-free numbers, had to tell my story again and again because everytime someone different was on the phone.
in the end, she was sent back to Junie Moon (hello? why not sending to me?) and Junie Moon sent her back to me a second time.
Junie Moon on the other hand, was of great help. Always fast with answers and doing everything to help.
Now she is finally here and i am totally smitten by her.
Her little face is like little biscuit milk porcelain, very shiny, very "doll-like". She has the cutest little outfit coming with her.her eyelashes are compared to neo-blythe very long and she can only move her eyes like pullips from left to right and back. but the eyemech is, instead of pullips, easier to control.
you can easily hold her in your palm of one hand and it makes me feel like holding a very breakable and precious creature in my hand.

the second girl already arrived at the end of last year, but i didn´t have the time to take some pictures yet. She is my Vinter Arden called *Milka

we have heavy snow fall again since 2 days and i couldn´t hold her back to get out and have some fun finally. she waited so long for it and snow is the element she loves most.

*Blythe Winter Outfit

i have been so busy since the new year started, i even didn´t have the time to take some pictures. *sight*
so i just share some old things i thought :)
This outfit was made for our German Blythe forum, you have already seen a little preview of it.
i used handspun gingham chequed fabric in lovely reds and browns. a huge white lace makes the apron and the big shoulder scarf. i love the pure and lovely white of it, it reminds me of the snow.
The little christmastree pendant on the bag is removable. i wanted the outfit to be able to wear all winter through and not only for the short time of christmas season.

have i shared my recieved swap with you already? i don´t think so!

it included not even some lovely dresses plus Pommecopine coat (Loulou was wearing in Paris did you recognize it? ,) but also those lovely Petit Blythe dresses (yay!), a sweet christmas card, lots of vintage buttons for crafting and a cute little Ddung keychain! Don´t forget the lovely little deer blanket you see beneath everything! i got so spoiled, haha :)
the Ddung keychain is a little bit larger than *Piu, you can´t open her hair and the clothes are glued on (what a shame!) but she´s really adorable too!
i haven´t participated in any swaps for quite some time and nearly forgot how fun they can be!

It were some fabulous 2 days. we stayed at a friends house and so we had a handsome guide to tour us around Parisienne nightlife too :D Of course, two days are never enough for that huge city. we just walked around a little bit and watched all the famous spots from the outside. i couldn´t believe how crowded Paris is from all the tourists. Not one single place where you don´t have to wait at least about 1 hour to enter. O_o
Unfortunately, we were not lucky with the weather. The city was wrapped in a grey fog all time long and the only day we could see the Eiffel Tower in its full beauty was the first day in the morning. from then the half top was hidden under the fog. It was a great idea then to wait until the evening to climb Eiffel tower and see the city´s beautiful lights from the second level.
We will come back in Spring or Autumn next year! i want to see the city all in green!

i have participated on our winter swap in the german blythe forum.
of course it is still a surprise for my swap partner, soooo... i won´t post the outfit yet...
sorry my friends :D
but i´ll give you a little preview, because i really really love the result.

i am not good at sewing dresses many at a time.
i discovered for myself, that if i find a beautiful fabric, i have just a blurry picture in my mind about the result.
starting with making the basics of the dress, the picture is growing and growing and while working on it, it gets clearer step by step.
this method takes a lot of time and makes selling the outfits not really profitable, but in return, i am really satisfied with the results in the end.

i hope my swap partner likes her little presents,
i will probably make a similar of this dress set for our trip to Paris.

furthermore... i have decided, i want Mademoiselle Poulette de Popinet to travel with us!
After all, she has some french family roots!
She is the perfect beauty for this wonderful city,
but yet... i am still afraid to take her with me.
She has just been to expensive and is too precious to just put her in and out the bag.
what do you suggest?
PS: Merry will travel with us anyway ,)

we finally decided!!
we will go to Paris over New Years Eve, staying there with a friend for 2 1/2 days.
this are going to be some exciting holidays!

*Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Have been to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 this weekend.
i am not the big fan, have actually never read any of the books before, but the movies
where quite nice to watch.
Unfotunately, this time, i didn´t quite get the story.
it has been too long, since i have seen the last HP movie, and i recommend all who aren´t
so familiar with the storyline to do so before.
i feltlike i was missing the linking part to the whole HP world.
the movie itself was quite nice to watch though and i am looking forward to the last part of it.

i made a new dress for Pluie. It´s just made from leftovers and scratches, yes, even the sewing thread is recylced, hehe.
doesn´t have to look perfect though, it´s just a prototype to get the form for the dresses.

excuse the bad picture quality, it´s already quite late and no daylight left for good photos.

as you can see, she even can move her arms freely now.
It´s important for little babyfrogs to be able to do so, the are all so agile and always up to something.

i am really impressed of her. She is very cute and has such soft hair!

bonita came for a short visit to Munic, so we met at town for a coffee and some shopping and strolling through the city with our girls in the morning.

we met those two guys advertising in front of some shop.
they were so funny!

i decided also i won´t sent out any postcards anymore to people who do not give their full name out.
i have several expired cards because people only write their nickname or only first or name on the adress tag. it´s always sad to see the cards expire, after i put so much effort on choosing, thinking, writing on the card and even pay money for it and people don´t take it seriously. makes me sad.

this turned out to be quite a negative post huh....

Hello my friends and fellow zakka designers!

i have a question about a problem i recently had with a customer.
i sold one of my dresses, but didn´t recieve the payment.

first i waited a few days, then sent an invoice and kindly remembered
to finish the payment transaction on paypal, so that i can sent the item
out (which was already packed and labeled).
i never recieved an answer. so i waited a little longer... who knows,
maybe internet broke down or something happened. more than 2 weeks later and still without payment, i sent out a second invoice with some kind remembering words.
no message back.
so over after over 4 weeks waiting i sent out the last remembering invoice and also told that i can´t leave positive feedback.

Here we go!... short msg recieved:
"sorry, but I have miss-ordered this. I have a petite Blythe."
not only, that i have many (and i think quite lovely) petit dresses for sale,
i just think that´s not a correct way. The customer could just have told me earlier,
no problem than.
but after over 4 weeks of waiting,
it´s was a very dissappointing experience for me.
i put a lot of work and love in that special dress and all my heart hangs on my little creations.

so, what to do?
i haven´t sent out the dress of course without recieving payment.... but:

should i just leave it with that and cancel the transaction?
or should i give her negative feedback and cancel the transaction?

i am not a person who wants to harm others, but i just feel that was the wrong way from her to handle it.

any comments on that? please! :)

*botanical garden

we had a great day at the botanical garden in bremen.
entrance fee was regularly 8 Euros, which seems to be kinda expensive, but we managed to get into it for student prices which costs us only 5 Euros per person. It was worth every penny! there where huge glass houses with waterfalls, several garden themes and land scenerys and you could see how much work and love they put into it.

Babette Bubbles had a lot of fun hanging around there.
not quite sure anymore what the little glitters on the wall where supposed to tell us, i think it demonstrated the differend kind of forests on the world, and there was a huge wind machine in front of it.

Babette: "wohoo...."
there where so many paintings on the stones, this one really was amazing!

they even had a butterfly garden inside. Mr. P and me visited several butterfly gardens in the past already. Everytime at least one! is landing on Mr. P´s shoulders. This one really enjoyed sitting there, it didn´t fly away for a while even though we walked around all the time.

Babette: "why!? it is supposed to land on me!!"
"..."
In the evening, we went to Bremer Freimark.
Took a ride on the old "Krinoline" with Babette Bubbles.

This weekend our local farmers wool and pottery market took place in my village. i go there every year, they sell the lovliest handmade stuff and selfspun and died wool. plus: you can find many great ideas to make for yourself too. this is my little loot for this year. i love the sheep skin room shoes. they are so soft and keep your feet warm on cold autumn and winter days.

as i told you lately, Mr.P and me went on a little mushroom hunt in the woods.
we found many lovely and intersting growing ones, unfortunately, we found only one mushroom, that was edible. we were a little bit late, someone else already found the good ones.
so in the evening, we made a little sauce for the steak out of this single mushroom. it gave the whole meal a fine flavor.

it sure would be interesting to search for the names of all these mushrooms.
meanwhile we better let them be and only took what we know for sure can be eaten.

this one landed on our plates. it is a bay bolete, or a Maronenröhrling

we also had a little guest who rested on our car in the sun :)

the big ribbon in the middle was inspired by a dress i have seen on a chinese tourist who visited our little shop lately. it was so cute looking, i should have ask her if i could take a picture of her dress.

*Pluie seems to like this one a lot! Now, she is learning about mushrooms as you can see. We plan to go to pick some mushrooms on the weekend. hope we will be lucky and find some.

i love the fabric pattern on this fabric. i can already see a cute little fall dress for Petit Blythes made of it. no time for sewing this weekend though. Mr. P is coming by and we already have a lot of plans.

i altered yesterdays pattern a little bit and came up with another dress for tiny wonderfrog *Pluie.

mhm.... i don´t like the long sleeves so much, i can make them shorter though.
all in all, i like yesterdays dress more, but *Pluie can move her arms more easy in this pattern.
means: more sewing the next days . :)

*Pluie is always smiling... hard to tell which one she likes most... hehe

i have been tired recently and my muse has not been shown up for a while.
today i was trying to sew some tiny dresses for *Pluie, the tiny wonderfrog.
it was a long process, also the dresses are only about 2 cm high, it took me the
whole evening to figure out the pattern. sewing on this size was nearly impossible,
so neckline and arms are glued with fabric tac.

the brown dress was the first try. too small, can´t close it in the back and tried to sew the neckline.

second try: much better! using fabric tac for these tiny pieces is great!
only missing the closure in the back.

unfortunately making these tiny dresses is sooo time consuming. not much worth selling them. *sight* maybe i get faster with making more?
i hope so. Pluie wants a couple more dresses to go out

i catched a terrible cold this month, which made me unable to move for nearly 2 weeks.
the worst thing was the bad cough which followed. i couldn´t breathe, sleep, talk for nearly a whole week!
so, september passed, without much happening.

oh, i forgot, Oktoberfest started!
uhm... i got a little bit drunk and had lots of fun.
but i still can´t believe how crowded it was! tents where closed already at 9 o´clock in the morning. Imagine that!
but: clever us managed to get into one nevertheless! ^_^b

i finally found out how to add this romantic passtell look to my pictures. and i love the results.
basically, any kind of filter will do, but you will get different results. i mostly used warm filters with red or orange colours.

yesterday the postman brought us a huge pakage with a cute and tiny little kitty inside.

I am her second owner, she is called Mimi and still a little bit shy as you can see.
I think about renaming her, i like the name Babette.
There is still much work to do on her: She got quite dirty over the time the previous owner played with her. I am not sure how to properly clean her yet. she has quite some stains on her body, but her face is my biggest worry.

thanks to Pomponette, who asked me for a comissioned dress for her ACB (until we found out, that the dress was still listed on my etsy.. lol) i feel my petit muse coming back.

I havent worked on Petit Blythe dresses for quite a while it seems.
I was often looking at my fabric stash, thinking what i could do with it.... but.... nada.
not a single idea came into my mind. i think i am kinda bored from always the same fabrics, but it´s really hard to find cute and tiny printed patterns here. i am jealeous of all those people around asia, who have easy access to those wonderful craft things. ordering through the internet on the other hand is kinda annoying for me, although there are sooo sooo many beautiful fabrics to purchase. I would even travel all around the world to Japan, only to hang around in Tokyu Hands again and go on a big shopping tour.

But anyway.... i already have some new ideas in my head again!
Kukki looks so great in this lovely polka dot patterned bright yellow. bringing some summer feeling back into my everyday life which was filled with too much rain this year.
